Tonight is our last night in South America. Tommorow we fly to Panama on route to Los Angeles arriving on Monday evening. more »
We took a boat trip today to see the meeting of the waters, where the Rio Negro and Solimoes river meet just to the east of Manaus. more »
Had a nice relaxing time of it yesterday… the most energetic thing we did was the 45min organised cycle ride down the beach front. more »
Spending 36 hours in a Hammock is suprisingly draining! Our river journey from Tefé to Manaus was a once in a lifetime experience which we are glad we did, but man am I glad we were only on that ship for a day and a half. more »
We are back in Tefé now, currently waiting for our 6pm boat to Manaus. The trip will take about 2 days and we have already brought our hammocks and rope so we can sling them up with the locals on the open decks and enjoy the whole trip in the open air. more »
We arrived at the Uakari (pronounced Wakari) Lodge after a turbulant flight in a propeller plane and a pretty wet hour and a half boat ride from Tefé. It was a appropriately soaking / heavy raining induction to the rainforest! more »
Its almost impossible to know where to start on a blog about our stay here at the lodge, partly because it was such an amazing experience, but also as I have forgotten my notebook so can´t remember all the details. more »
We spent our last morning in Lima at the National Museum, a mostly awful car park type stucture that whilst quite visually impressive is absolutly impossible to navigate as a visitor. more »

Had a very relaxed first day in Lima yesterday. Coincidentally our schedules have once again aligned with Pauline and Karl’s so we met with them for a very nice lunch in a restaurant on the cliff top, overlooking the beach and pacific. more »

Just arrived in this tiny village on the Pacific, staging post for a tour to the Islas Ballestas, known as the poor mans Gallapagos. more »

We arrived at Nazca at 6am after the overnight from Arequipa. Not ones to waste any time, we booked ourselves straight on the 11:30am flight over the Nazca lines. more »
